This Is Your Life – 365 Days

# 11 This is your life
If you could read a book containing all that has happened and will ever happen in your life, would you? If you choose to read it, you must read it cover to cover.
I would definitely choose not to do so. Mostly because of the spoiler. And if I knew all of it, I don’t think everything could happen exactly as it was written. What do you think?

I can live alone, if self-respect and circumstances require me so to do. I need not sell my soul to buy bliss. I have an inward treasure born with me, which can keep me alive if all extraneous delights should be withheld or offered only at a price I cannot afford to give.

-Charlotte Brontƫ, Jane Eyre

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness.

I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can.

And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.

-Neil Gaiman

Happy New Year, everybody! šŸ™‚

You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read.

It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.

– James Baldwin
